Specific Murray Region Information

The dairy industry in the Murray Region faces its own set of challenges relating to climate variability, climate change and irrigation allocations – indeed ongoing low water allocations have already transformed the feedbase from being dominated by perennial ryegrass based pastures to more of a focus on annual pastures and forage crops that require less irrigation water. These challenges are explored though climate and pasture predictions (for 2030 and 2070), farmer case studies, FRDS virtual events, and information about potential on-farm responses.
